What a wonderfully busy week!! We met so many new people and learned so many new things. Throughout the week we learned about lots of school tools. We learned about pencils, markers, crayons, play dough and scissors. We learned how to use and take care of the blocks (both large and small), the dollhouse, the bean table, the cars, the recycle bin and the marble run. Some of us even learned how to feed the fish, record the weather, change the date on the calendar, water the plants and take the folder to the office! We visited the cafeteria, the playground, and the office. We even had a practice fire drill! We met Mrs. Parry when we went to Art; Mrs. Keating and Mr. Demeritt when we went to Music and PE; and Mrs. Dupre and Mrs. Burns when we visited the Library. We found our way to the office where Mrs. Patch and Mrs. Block work and we met Mrs. Rohrer and Mrs. Clary when we went to the cafeteria. For stories we read Waiting is Not Easy; Pete the Cat; There is a Bird on Your Head; Bob is a Unicorn; A Sick Day for Amos McGee; Oscar and His Alligator; and I Am a Frog! I’m looking forward to seeing you at our annual Parent Open House. This Parent-only event will be Thursday, September 14, from 5:30 to 6:15. Each child worked really hard to learn the routines of Kindergarten. I am so proud of how much each and every child has learned already and how hard they are trying! Enjoy your weekend.
