During our Math block we worked on our number scrolls with Mr. Gurtman, made 3-d representations of objects in our classroom, created a map of our classroom and we played "What's My Rule?" using the function machine. During our Reader's workshop we worked at centers where we practiced reading short words, writing Spring words and reading our spelling words. We also played BOOM!, power tower and sorted pictures with a short /a/ or short /o/ sound. This week we have been working on our Massive Flower Project. Thursday afternoon we went to the maker space to cut out and assemble our flowers. IMPORTANT DATES

We had a wonderfully warm week! We completed our Social Studies look at the farm this week with a great field trip to Harris Farm. Please check our our Photo Gallery page for lots of pictures from our trip. I’d like to thank Shelly Bishop, Samantha Donnell, Meaghan Foster, Nathaniel Haas, Lauren Mendoza, Liz Thieme, Kazue Heelan and Janelle Behm for helping on this trip. More pictures will be added to our Photo Gallery page as they come in. On Friday we worked with our book buddies to plant some of the sprouts that have started growing in our Greenhouse. Next Friday we'll plant the rest. I apologize for not getting it out last week, but this week your child will be bringing home the last scholastic book order for the year.
